What's in a half or whole lamb share?
A spread across the whole animal: loin chops and cutlets, chump chops, a leg and a shoulder (bone-in or boned and rolled), shanks, neck chops or diced, and mince and BBQ chops from the trim. You choose the split on a cut sheet.
How much does a lamb share weigh, and feed?
A half lamb is about 9–13kg of packed meat, a whole 18–26kg. A whole lamb feeds a family of four for roughly 2–3 months of lamb meals. Weight varies with the animal, so it's sold as 'approximately'.
How much freezer space for half a lamb?
About 20–25 litres for a half, 40–50 litres for a whole — a half fits in the freezer drawer of a large fridge-freezer; a whole wants a small chest freezer or an empty upright.
Is the lamb grass-fed?
