Wholesale Goat Meat — Frequently Asked Questions
How is a goat share cut?
Usually mostly bone-in curry pieces (chopped shoulder, leg and neck), with the loin left as chops or a rack and the ribs kept whole. Tell us if you want more roasting cuts and fewer curry pieces.
What does a half or whole goat weigh?
A whole goat carcass yields roughly 10–16kg of packed meat depending on the animal; a half, 5–8kg. It's sold by finished weight.
Is goat cheaper in bulk?
Yes — carton and carcass pricing is well below buying curry pieces by the pack, which is why restaurants and big families order it this way.
How should I cook bulk goat?
Bone-in curry pieces reward a slow 2-hour simmer with spice — the bones add body to the sauce. Loin and rack can be grilled fast. Goat is lean, so keep braises moist and don't dry-roast the lean cuts.
