Slow Cook Beef — Frequently Asked Questions
What's the best beef cut for a slow cooker?
Chuck is the most forgiving all-rounder; beef cheek gives the silkiest result; shin or gravy beef thickens the sauce by itself. Avoid lean cuts like rump — they dry out.
How big is your brisket — whole or portioned?
Both — whole packer briskets (point and flat, ~4–6kg) for the smoker, and portioned pieces for the oven or slow cooker.
Do you sell beef cheeks?
Yes — trimmed beef cheeks, two per pack, ideal for a red-wine braise. They're one of the best-value premium-eating cuts in the shop.
